"My name is Ishmael". Probably one of the most famous opening lines in a book. My name is not Ishmael and it certainly isn't John. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet". True, call it Kevin and the smell is the same. Call me John, do I smell the same? Why would someone be so careless, so thoughtless, so arrogant? Why when you tell them your name, when you write it down for them do they get it wrong? Do they think I have made a mistake, that I don't know my own name, that they know my name better than me. My name is not John.
